My name is Russ Hamer and I am the Technology Coordinator for Gering Public Schools.  I graduated from Chadron State College in May of 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in Mathematics and Physics.  I started my teaching career at Amherst, NE in 1982, teaching Mathematics, Physics, and Computers for 3 years.  From 1985 to 1987 I taught Mathematics and Physics at Sherman E. Burroughs High School in Ridgecrest, CA.  I have been employed by the Gering Public Schools since the fall of 1987 teaching Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science for many years before leaving the classroom to become the Technology Coordinator.

One of the goals I have for this site is to keep a repository of documents/articles that will be beneficial to staff and parents in the use of Infinite Campus.  I plan to upload/write articles intended to help teachers, secretaries, and administrators configure and utilize Infinite Campus efficiently and effectively.  Current technology availability requires that information provided by the schools for students and parents be accurate and up to date.  With this in mind, I hope this site will help staff members keep Infinite Campus data current and reliable.
