CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION – The superintendent will review and assess K-12 Curriculum to address the following issues:
1. Implement the newly aligned, K-12 curriculum, especially in all core curriculum areas. Develop a schedule and formal process for continued curriculum alignment.
2. Assess the options/definitions/criteria for a Gifted Program at all levels.
3. Study alternative options to address dropout rates, graduation rates and credit recovery.
4. Bring staff to 100% highly qualified as required by NCLB and bring staff as near as possible to 100% endorsement at all levels.
5. Develop a mission statement in collaboration with all stakeholders.
BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM – The superintendent will assess the value of sustaining a Before/After School Program at the elementary level.
1. Bring forth cost options of a Before/After School Program.
2. Define the objective and service the program will provide students.
3. Identify partnerships within the community to provide this service.
FACILITIES – The superintendent will establish a timeline to address the following facility issues:
1. Supervision during construction of practice facility/classrooms at the High School.
2. Bring forth the cost, options, value, and purpose of a Feasibility Study to be conducted for the Kimball Public Schools for the board’s consideration.
3. Bring forth the cost, options, and value of projects identified in the Long Range Facility Plan.
