I will be teaching math and serving as an assistant coach for football and boys’ basketball at Garden County High School. I am originally from Arlington, Nebraska, which is about 35 mile northwest of Omaha. I have one older brother, Matt, who is a physical therapist in Columbus, Nebraska. My parents still live in Arlington; my mom is a middle school counselor in Elkhorn, and my dad works for Valmont Industries.
I graduated from Arlington High School in 2003. I then joined the rest of my family and attended Chadron State College. I decided to go into teaching because of the impact some of my teachers had on me. I also was interested in the coaching aspect of teaching. I graduated from college in December of 2007. I then served as a long-term substitute teacher from January to May of this year at Wilber-Clatonia High School in southeast Nebraska. Some of my interests include hunting, fishing, and sports. I look forward to getting to know the students and other members of the community.
